Ochsner Clinic Foundation:

Brent House Coffee Shop

Brent House Coffee Shop
Description: Our construction project in the main lobby of the hospital consisted of working while keeping pedestrian flow as normal as possible. The renovation included installing 35 foot beams on the perimeter of the coffee shop, while incorporating the existing marble columns into the project. The time table consisted of night work shifts to complete the renovation as soon as possible, while keeping a safe job site in the middle of the Main lobby.


5th Floor Women’s OBGYN

Description:Our construction work on the 5th Floor Women’s OBGYN Clinic consisted of construction for comfort and easy accessibility for the women to make their doctor’s visit as easy as possible. We renovated the waiting area, reception area, exam rooms as well as the doctor’s offices.

 

3rd Floor Package II B OHVI

3rd Floor OHVI
Description: Our construction project on the 3rd Floor was our biggest challenge. This project involved the renovation of an existing Clinic and Hospital space on the third floor. This renovation included the Arrhythmia Clinic, ECHO, Cath Lab and Recovery. Within these Departments a new Waiting / Reception area, Exam Rooms, Nurse Stations, Administration Areas, Staff Facilities, and Recovery Bays were constructed. The existing HVAC and plumbing systems were modified to accommodate the new floor plan. Medical gas was also added to the recovery area as well as specialized exam rooms. The construction was phased in order to allow departments to be relocated and remain operable at all times.


6th Floor Package II

Description: Our construction project on the 6th Floor was phased into our 5th Floor Renovation. As with most construction projects the relocation of personnel is vital to the completion of the project in a timely manner. Our construction involved minor renovations of existing patient rooms, as well as, full renovations to existing waiting areas, reception areas and patient rooms.


2nd Floor Endoscopy

2nd Floor Endoscopy
Description: Our construction project on the 2nd Floor consisted of renovating an existing suite into an Endoscopy Suite with 3 procedure rooms, adjacent scope rooms, offices and other amenities while coordinating with the installation of G.E. Equipment for the doctor’s use. We understand the importance for the Doctor’s Procedure Rooms to accommodate the doctor, as well as, the patient as efficient as possible.

 

7th Floor Vascular Lab

Description: Our Construction project on the 7th Floor consisted of renovating existing Medical/Surgical patient rooms into a Vascular Lab, associated offices, a fellows room and work stations. The existing bathrooms were renovated to allow space for a shower and to bring these rooms up to proper Health Code, which required Certified Medical Gases. We employ top notch subcontractors that we can rely on to perform up to our expectations as well as our customers. We strive to coordinate with the hospital to make these transitions as smooth as possible.

 

 

Tulane-Lakeside Hospital:

2nd Floor NICU Renovations

Description: The scope of work included all new finishes (walls, floors & ceilings) and five (5) new Infant basinet stations equipped with emergency power and medical gases. Extreme measures were taken toward the project in regards to infection control and scheduling. After a delicate coordination process of relocating all the infants during construction and returning them back to the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit, the work was successfully completed in April 2007.


Lakeside 5th Floor MOB Building, Pediatric Services Renovation

Description: The medical office building suite, approximately 7,000 sqft, needed to be completely gutted of existing walls, floors and ceilings. The demolition included attaching a five story trash chute to the side of the building and beneath it a forty yard dumpster segregated in the hospital parking lot. This new, state of the art pediatric clinic took 5 months to complete and was finished ahead of schedule in August 2008.

 

Touro Hospital:

Buckman Building Suite 100

Description: The Touro Buckman OBGYN Clinic located on Prytania Street was a project that converted multiple doctor’s suites into a beautiful, state of the art clinic for women. This project was completed in a tight 90 day schedule. The project consisted of adding underground plumbing, flooring, walls, doors, casework and finishes.

 

Tulane Medical Center:

Plant Flood proofing

Description: The goal of the flood proofing project was to keep the hospital operating in either of two occasions, during and after any flooding events and in the event total power is lost. Hurricane Katrina caused flooding in the Central Plant of the Hospital, as a result, new concrete floodwalls were erected around the perimeter of the Plant. Hinged and roll down flood doors were installed in front of the Plant entrance doors to make them water tight. Tulane Medical Center is one of a few facilities in the greater New Orleans area to have this kind of protection against flood waters.

Description: During the construction of the flood walls at the Central Plant, other issues came to light. In the event of an electrical power loss, Tulane Medical Center wanted to keep critical portions of their Hospital air-conditioned. Additional generators were installed to supply the emergency power needed for the HVAC equipment. Along with the new generators, Tulane retrofitted the existing generators from air cooled units to water cooled units. A new cooling tower was also installed to support these water cooled units. Concluding the project, Tulane requested a well be put in place for emergency make-up water for the new equipment if the City could no longer provide it.


4th Floor Cardiology

Description: In April of 2007, we completed a 4,000 sqft renovation in the Cardiology Clinic. The work was substantially completed in less than 90 days. This renovation was needed to provide fresh new finishes which included floors, walls and ceilings.


1st and 5th Floor Pediatric Renovations

Description: This renovation included the Pediatric portion of the Emergency Department and the entire 5th floor Pediatric Clinic. Eighty percent of the walls were demolished throughout this massive 35,000 sqft project. The build-out provided an entire new look for the 5th floor Clinic with fashionable youngster designs and artwork. The child friendly toys and games throughout the exam rooms and lobby will be sure to keep the atmosphere calm and pleasant. This 270 day project was completed on time and under budget at the end of 2008.


MRI Install/TISM Rebuild

Description: The Tulane Institute of Sports Medicine Clinic, which is located on the Uptown Campus, took in approximately 12 inches of water as a result of Hurricane Katrina and had to be renovated. This project was a fast track project that required a 7 day a week schedule. New floors, casework, doors and finishes were installed. A new MRI unit was also installed replacing the unit that took on water. This project enabled Tulane to once again treat the athletes that play for the University and other athletes around the surrounding area. The challenging part of this project was setting the new MRI machine into its room. The room that the MRI machine is in consists of a complete copper envelope from floor to ceiling. This was done so that the strong magnet field could not penetrate through other parts of the building.
